CPD23 is back!

You may remember that last year, Nebraska Learns 2.0 changed things up a bit for a few months. From June through October of 2011, instead of posting a new Thing for you to do each month, we followed along with another learning program, 23 Things for Professional Development(CPD23). It was a lot of fun and we were thrilled to see so many new people participating. Well, due to popular demand, the 23 Things for Professional Development program is being CPD23re-run – it started Monday May 7! We encourage all Nebraska library staff to check out the program again. Most of the content will stay roughly the same, so this re-run is for people who started but didn’t finish in 2011, or who never started at all. They aim to pace this re-run at a more relaxed tempo than last year, but all the old posts will remain available throughout, so you can continue to work through the Things at your own speed. Check out the schedule of the 23 Things for 2012 to plan your participation. Earn CE Credits This time around, Nebraska Learns 2.0 will not be switching out our regularly scheduled monthly Things for CPD23. But, we will once again be offering CE Credits. Nebraska library staff who complete all 23 Things for Professional Development by October 31, 2012 will earn 15 CE Credits. If you earned the full 15 CE Credits the first time CPD23 was run, you cannot earn them again this time. They are a couple of weeks into the program, but that’s OK. You do not have to complete the Things during the week they are first posted, you just have to have them all completed by our October 31 deadline. Another difference is that we will not be tracking your participation in CPD23 this time. You will be responsible for reporting your completion of all 23 Things at the end of the program, via your usual CE Activity Report FormYou must complete all 23 Things to earn the 15 CE Credits – there is no partial credit. Details about the program are available on the 23 Things for Professional Development main blog. We hope you’ll join your library colleagues again on this international learning adventure!
