#BookFaceFriday “Canoeing the Great Plains” by Patrick Dobson
Row, row, row, your #BookFace!
Go jump in a lake with this week’s #BookFaceFriday, “Canoeing the Great Plains: A Missouri River Summer” by Patrick Dobson (Bison Books, 2015). It’s available to all Nebraska OverDrive Libraries in eBook format. 173 libraries across the state share this collection of 17,165 audiobooks and 28,972 eBooks. As an added bonus it includes 130 podcasts that are always available with simultaneous use (SU), as well as SU ebooks and audiobook titles that publishers have made available for a limited time. We also have the “Diverse Reads for Kids & Teens” collection of 56 titles available through August 31st!

#BookFaceFriday – “The Autobiography of Malcolm X”
#BookFaceFriday celebrates Black History Month!
We’re throwing back to one of our first-ever #BookFace photos with “The Autobiography of Malcolm X: As told to Alex Haley” by Malcolm X (Grove Press, 1963.) We originally featured this title as a Nebraska 150 Books List selection, and it’s available in our book club kit collection. Check out this Nebraska Author of color for your book club!

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
It’s a beautiful day for a neighbor with this week’s #BookFaceFriday! If the sight of a red cable knit cardigan brings a smile to your face, and our opening line has a jingle playing in your mind, this is the book for you. “The Good Neighbor: The Life and Work of Fred Rogers” by Maxwell King (Harry N. Abrams, 2018). It’s a New York Times bestseller and the 2018 Goodreads Choice Award Winner for History & Biography. This book is a part of our NLC Book Club Kit collection and I can’t think of a better way to add some nonfiction to a book club!
