Wilson Databases Update
If you didn’t get a chance to attend the Database Roadshow this summer, but you’d like a see some of the updates made to the Wilson databases, this NCompass Live session is for you. Touring the New eLibrary
If you didn’t get a chance to attend the Database Roadshow this summer, but you’d like a refresher course on searching eLibrary, this NCompass Live session is for you. Join Susan Knisely, Online Services Librarian at the Nebraska Library Commission, as she takes you on a tour of the newly updated eLibrary interface. During this hour-long session Susan will not only review basic searching functionality in eLibrary, but also highlight recent service enhancements. eLibrary is licensed for use in public and academic libraries through the NebraskAccess statewide database program.

NEBASE, BCR & OCLC: The Future of OCLC Services in Nebraska
The Nebraska Library Commission’s NEBASE department ceased to exist as an OCLC network as of July 1, 2009. Nebraska OCLC member libraries were transfered to BCR (Bibliographical Center for Research) for their OCLC service. Join Christa Burns, NEBASE OCLC Member Services Coordinator, as she explains what’s happening with NEBASE, BCR, and OCLC, and what it means to Nebraska Libraries.

Database Roadshow Teaser
It’s that time of year again when we begin preparing for the Database Roadshow. This year’s Roadshow is all about change. The New and Improved Library and Information Services Program
The Library Technical Assistant program, which previously had been managed in part by all the Nebraska community colleges is moving under one umbrella to Central Community College in Grand Island. Marty Magee, one of the instructors for the newly renamed “Library and Information Services” associate degree program, will cover some of the changes, introduction of other instructors, and talk about the online distance education format.

Setting Up Your Public Access Computers
Public access computers are different beasts from staff and home computers. Having dozens or even hundreds of different individuals use the same computer in just a week raises certain issues that must be addressed including virus prevention, security and privacy.
