Happy New Year from the Nebraska Library Commission! In our humble opinion, there’s no better New Year’s resolution than the classic “I want to read more books!” Make sure you get the Libby App downloaded on that brand-new Kindle or iPad you got for Christmas; all you need is a library card to read all the amazing books available on Nebraska OverDrive Libraries. One of those great titles is “My Year of Rest and Relaxation: A Novel” by Ottessa Moshfegh, available as an ebook and audiobook. Here at NLC we like to embark on a new year by setting fresh reading goals or starting a new reading challenge! Libraries participating in the Nebraska OverDrive Libraries Group currently have access to a shared and growing collection of digital downloadable audiobooks and eBooks. 194 libraries across the state share the Nebraska OverDrive collection of 26,174 audiobooks, 36,611 ebooks, and 5,210 magazines. As an added bonus it includes 130 podcasts that are always available with simultaneous use (SU), as well as SU ebooks and audiobook titles that publishers have made available for a limited time.
