Join us for next week’s NCompass Live, “Making The Most of The Cloud”, on Wednesday, June 10, 10:00-11:00 am Central Time.
Cloud computing can be confusing – the number and types of services that are available through “the cloud” are growing by the day. Robin Hastings, author of
Making the Most of the Cloud: How to Choose and Implement the Best Services for Your Library, takes you through some of the more popular cloud services in libraries and breaks down what you need to know to pick the best one for your library. She will cover services that can be accessed through the cloud (ILS, email, photo editing and more) and give tips on what to consider when making decisions about those services (security and training, specifically).
Upcoming NCompass Live events:
- June 17 – NebraskAccess Expansion
- June 24 – Metadata Manipulations: Using MarcEdit and Open Refine to Enhance Technical Services Workflows
- July 22 – From the Basement to the West Wing: The Talking Book & Braille Service’s New Space
