Throwback Thursday: Men Playing Football

We’re kicking off the day with a little #throwback!

The Huskers take the field this weekend to start the new football season and we thought this black and white postcard would be perfect for this week’s #ThrowbackThursday. This postcard from the early 1900’s is provided and owned by History Nebraska. History Nebraska digitized content from the John Nelson collection. His photographs tell the story of small town life in Nebraska during the first decades of the twentieth century. Check out more Nebraska-related materials on the Nebraska Memories archive. Nebraska Memories is a cooperative project to digitize Nebraska-related historical and cultural heritage materials and make them available to researchers of all ages via the Internet. The Nebraska Memories archive is brought to you by the Nebraska Library Commission. If your institution is interested in participating in Nebraska Memories, see http://nlc.nebraska.gov/nebraskamemories/participation.aspx for more information.
