How Many People Use E-readers?

Harris Interactive just published a report about a poll in which they surveyed 2,183 adults about whether they use an e-reader. The result: one in six Americans use an e-reader and the same percentage are likely to buy one in the next six months. Also interesting was the discovery that 36% of e-reader users said they read more now than they did before purchasing their e-reader. This has been my experience as well. Since receiving an e-reader as a gift this past summer, I didn’t stop reading physical books and magazines, but I have certainly been reading a lot more than I did previously. How about you? Do you use an e-reader? Has it changed your reading habits? What about your customers? What have you learned about their use of e-readers? What other observations do you have about the use of digital media among your clientele?

Yes. I use my ipad as an ereader. I’m so excited to be able to download Kindle files from OverDrive! I think the Kindle app is the best for ebooks.
