Reflections on PLA
Each year, the Nebraska Library Commission awards Continuing Education and Training Grants to Nebraska libraries to provide funding for staff to attend conferences and training sessions. In 2010, the NLC awarded grants to 5 librarians to attend the Public Library Association Annual Conference in Portland. Attend this session to learn more about the grants and to hear these librarians talk about their experiences at PLA: Mary Jo Mack, Director of John A. Stahl Library, and 4 librarians from Lincoln City Libraries: Carol Swanson, the Branch Supervisor at Gere Branch Library; Mary Luckner, the Youth Services Librarian at Walt Branch Library, Karrie Simpson, the Youth Services Librarian at Anderson and Bethany Branch Libraries, and Tammy Teasley, Collection Librarian at Bennett Martin Library.
