Announcing Technology Planning Summer Camp!

The Nebraska Library Commission is pleased to announce Technology Planning Summer Camp! This 2 day workshop will be held on August 22-23, 2011, in 4 locations across the state – Lincoln, Norfolk, North Platte and Scottsbluff. Speakers will be based in Lincoln, and their presentations will be broadcast to the 3 other locations. Join your colleagues as we learn about the importance of Technology Planning for your library. Topics will include: Technology Planning Summer Camp
  • Sustainability
  • Advocacy
  • Using TechAtlas to create your Technology Plan
  • Filtering – What is it? Should I do it? How to do it?
  • Myths about CIPA
  • Basic introduction to E-rate
  • Demonstration of ADA software

Up to 3 people from each library can attend – library administration, staff and board members are invited. Participants who attend all sessions will receive 9.5 C.E. Credits. Funding for this event is being provided by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in conjunction with the BTOP grant, Library Broadband Builds Nebraska Communities.
