I remember Ben coming to speak at Beattie Elementary School back when I was in fifth or sixth grade. He gained my immediate interest because he had a black bear he was raising as a pet back in Montana. I thought that was the coolest pet ever! English being his second language he had many shortcomings when it came to reading and writing, yet he still became a famous author. He is very inspirational to young kids everywhere.
he is the best author i know
