New Database
The new database, Biography Reference Ultimate, is now live in NebraskAccess. It replaces Biography Reference Bank and Biography Reference Source.
Biography Reference Ultimate contains over 1,750,000+ full-text biographical entries pulled from respected, recognizable classic and contemporary sources of biographical information. It offers comprehensive searching as well as a greatly enhanced browsing experience to help users find, narrow down, and focus their research. Those libraries with their own EBSCO accounts and links to the databases will have until July 31 to make the switch.
EBSCO Interface Changes
On July 7, 2026, EBSCO will be updating their database interfaces. This will impact all of the EBSCO databases that are available through NebraskAccess. The primary change is moving the navigation from the left side of the screen to the top of the page. Items will be regrouped so important tools, including subject authorities and the language selector, are more convenient.
Another exciting change is the return of paginated search results. This will allow users to move easily between result pages and can be useful when librarians and teachers are working with patrons and students.
