“April showers bring May flowers…”

…or so the saying goes.  This Spring’s roller-coaster weather aside, it is always a pleasure to enjoy the many beautiful flowers that nature provides us.  This is as true now as it was in years past.  For example, if you search “flowers” in Nebraska Memories, you will find many photographs of  flowers used in public parks and home gardens, Garden2Garden3 weddings and funerals, Wedding1        Wedding2  funeral parades, Parade1Parade2 and of course, hats! Hats1          Hats4          Hats3 So if you like flowers, have some fun discovering other pictures from the past like the ones above.  Visit Nebraska Memories to search for or browse through many more historical images digitized from photographs, negatives, postcards, maps, lantern slides, books and other materials. Nebraska Memories is a cooperative project to digitize Nebraska-related historical and cultural heritage materials and make them available to researchers of all ages via the Internet.
